Tracks the Cat adopted us in Summer 1999. She roars
very
loudly when she's hungry and we spoil her with affection when she will
let us. She has beautiful blue eyes and looks like she has some
Arizona
wildcat in her. She loves to lie down in the afternoon sun and as
you can see she defends her turf when she doesn't want to be
bothered!
She watches the studio when nobody is around, and although we don't let
her inside, she seems to enjoy hanging around outside and meeting all
the
musicians. Despite her excellent mouse and bug hunting skills
(which
she loves to show off), Tracks has made it clear that we're not to buy
any cat food for her other than the original recipe Whiska's with
"savory
nuggets." Lately she's been seen climbing up nearby trees at warp
speed! Our interns were nice enough to build her a new little
kitty
mansion which she is enjoying very much. She also enjoys chasing
the laser dot around the parking lot late at night after a session.
Tracks has responded very well to her move to the new studio
on September
9, 2003. John Gray scooped her up one night after the locks were
changed at the old place and she made the journey across town without a
cat carrier in John's Mustang. Tracks didn't enjoy the ride very
much and neither did John's upholstery, but when she made it to the new
place she seemed to understand that this was her new place and she's
stuck
around. Now we catch her climbing palm trees once in awhile or
running
to avoid golf balls etc. She is very happy and well-fed.
Tracks was last seen in front of the Saltmine on March 8th,
2004.
We are hoping that someone has taken her in and given her the cooshy
house-cat
life that we could never offer her.
I can think of about 1000 people who wouldn't argue that Tracks is
the greatest cat ever, and we miss her very much. Perhaps you are
one of those people!
Sometimes other cats come around, but they are not like Tracks.
